For the past forty-five years, a federal policy called the Hyde Amendment has prohibited federal funding for elective abortions. It is estimated that over 2.4 million children are alive because of the policy. Despite longstanding, bipartisan support for the amendment, and overwhelming public support as well, the amendment is in great danger of being repealed. It is critical that pro-lifers send a strong message to Congress: our taxpayer dollars should NOT pay for abortion.
