Renewal of Student Accident Medical Coverage

The Board of Directors has approved the Student Accident Medical Policy for August 1, 2022 to August 1, 2023.

The policy is administered by Student Assurance Services of Stillwater, Minnesota. The coverage applies to all pre-k through twelve, religious education and youth ministry students while participating in your programs. This is an excess policy, which provides medical assistance with deductibles and co-pays within the parents’s health system. If the youth is uninsured, the policy will drop down and pay medical costs subject to the plans restrictions.

Student Assurance Services also provides the parents an option to purchase 24-hour coverage.

A summary of the plan, frequently asked questions, claim forms and the enrollment for 24-hour coverage is now web based. Please go to www.sas-mn.com then K12 Students/Parents then look up your school and chose Michigan where Michigan Catholic Conference will appear. The menus then allow you to choose the information you desire.

As in the past, you will complete the top part of the claim form and provide it in its entirety to the parents to complete the medical claim. As always, these incidents involving youth are to be reported to Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc to preserve coverage in the event of a claim above and beyond the request for medical assistance costs.
